Blingin Baddies: From an Etsy Shop to an Owned Shopify Storefront
A Jacksonville custom rhinestone and DTF apparel shop moved off Etsy and onto its own Shopify store and domain, launched in July 2026.

The Problem
Selling through Etsy meant paying marketplace fees on every order and owning neither the brand domain nor the customer relationship. The custom-order side of the business, which is most of it, had no way for a customer to send a design. The home page promised uploads that no form could accept.
What We Did
- Built a six-page Shopify store on the Horizon theme with branded copy for the home, about, and FAQ sections.
- Put a custom order form with image upload on the home page so custom bling requests arrive with the design attached.
- Configured shipping ($5.99 standard, free over $75, plus live UPS and USPS rates), Florida sales tax collection, and published return and shipping policies.
- Set up Shopify Payments and moved the store onto blinginbaddies.com as the primary domain so canonicals and redirects point at the brand.
- Wrote page titles, meta descriptions, and keyword-rich descriptions for all three collections; added a favicon.
- Submitted the sitemap to Google Search Console with priority indexing requests on seven key pages, and imported the property into Bing with IndexNow syncing new pages automatically.

Outcome
The store went live on July 27, 2026 on its own domain with checkout, tax, shipping, and policies in place, and both Google and Bing had the sitemap the same day. The business now owns its storefront and its customer list instead of renting them.
